It's a Ballard legend dive bar . The BLTs are scary good. The VHS movies on the TV. The regular crowd. Visit but don't kill the vibe, just say hi :)

Stopped here because after a long day of flying home, we just wanted some gravy and comfort food! We saw this place had meatloaf and we gave a friend named Hattie so we had to come! This is definitely a fitting place for Seattle and they are welcoming and friendly. I got the meatloaf and it was exactly what I needed. It had Guinness gravy. My mom also got the meatloaf and got some Brussel sprouts and they were also amazing !! If I enjoyed parking on the street I'd come here at least once a month. Thank you!

Cute place! I love the kitschy / vintage / homey vibe. Great service at the bar. Didn't eat there but the food looked and smelled good so I'll be back for a meal sometime.

My first visit to Hattie's Hat was during a summer bike ride. My husband and I decided to go on a long ride to get breakfast in the Ballard/Fremont area. Hattie's Hat is easy access from the Burke Gilman trail, even bike parking a few steps away. I ordered the basic breakfast (hashbrowns, eggs and toast). My husband ordered a breakfast biscuit sandwich. They also have a full bar; serving mimosas, beer, bloody Mary's, etc! We saved ourselves for beer on the way home so we passed on the libations. I have been at least 10 times since the first visit. It is my favorite breakfast spot in Seattle!! My favorite breakfast is the chicken fried chicken. It comes with toast or English muffin, but I always request a biscuit (bc hello there's gravy!) It never disappoints! Hearty, rib sticking, homemade goodness!!! The hashbrowns are my favorite type! Kind of mashed potato/hashbrowns hybrid! They are delicious!!! Hattie Hat is my new GO TO breakfast spot in Seattle! Service is always friendly and quick... and most importantly DELICIOUS!

We came here for brunch after running a Turkey Trot. Not many places were open on Thanksgiving, but we are glad Hattie's Hat was. It has a bit of a rustic homey vibe to it. I ordered the Changs Migas after seeing some good reviews of it, but it just wasn't for me. The rest of my party really enjoyed their omelets though. Service was very friendly throughout.

Cool eclectic cafe/bar! Loved the Halloween decor. They even had Gremlins playing on screen. Busy at 1pm on a Friday and service was on point. Coffee was smooth and our breakfast plates were incredibly good! We'll be back

What a unique little place in the cute Ballard area. You walk in thinking it's a Mexican restaurant, but it's typical diner food. They seemed thrown off by the need for two high chairs and where to store a stroller, but they eventually got us situated that way. Service was great after we were seated. Food was typical diner food, but good. I had the beet salad and tots. My family ate a Bleu cheese burger, regular burger, and fried chicken breakfast platter. Everyone liked their food. I was sad there wasn't more beets in the salad but tots were perfectly crisp. The side was so huge that everyone at the table had some tots.

After a chilly Sunday morning walking around the Farmers Market, come warm up your belly and soul with some hearty brunch. With a wide variety of options, this menu will have something for everyone. I stuck to a breakfast classic - everything bagel, cream cheese, egg, regular cheese.. then I subbed the bacon for tomato. This is one of my favorite breakfast dishes ever, so simple yet so filling! The kitchen is quick, despite being a full house, so don't worry if there's a small wait or it looks busy inside - the staff are true hustlers and get you feeling right with the quickness!
